Playwright David Mamet ("The Unit") and actress Lorraine Bracco ("The Sopranos") are "guest programmers" for Turner Classic Movies.

Mamet will be programming some favorite films - including 1942's "In Which We Serve" - on March 22, while Bracco takes over on April 5 with a lineup that will include another 1942 pick, "Now, Voyager."  Click on the link above for the full schedule of films.

GUEST PROGRAMMERS

In 2007, TCM's GUEST PROGRAMMERS movie showcase will welcome Chevy Chase, Lorraine Bracco, Larry Miller, David Mamet and David Thomson. Each month, TCM asks a celebrity to exchange star status for a role as a devoted fan of classic film by picking a selection of his/her favorite movies and sharing with viewers why he/she has come to love each one. They join previously announced GUEST PROGRAMMERS Augusten Burroughs, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24; Robert Wagner, slated for Thursday, Nov. 9; and Burt Reynolds, scheduled for Dec. 12. Also in 2007, TCM has plans for a GUEST PROGRAMMER stunt in November, programming 30 days of 30 guest programmers from all walks of life, such as business, entertainment, politics, sports and authors.
